Bloomsbury Publishing Plc (LSE:BMY) has warned that its profit for the full year 2006 may not meet market forecasts.

The company issued a trading update after the markets closed on Monday (11 December), saying that pre-tax profit for the year to 31 December 2006 may be in the region of GBP5m. This compares to predictions of GBP20m, the BBC reported.

The decline was attributed to lower than expected pre-Christmas sales in the retail trade ...
