Kempinski Hotels has been awarded the management contract for one of Geneva's prestigious lakeside hotels and will take over the existing property, previously managed by Hilton, on 1 December 2006. The hotel is currently closed for extensive renovations. All the hotel staff are being maintained and will be involved in preparing for the re-opening of the property. The five star luxury hotel will be rechristened as the Grand Hotel Kempinski Geneva and is set to open in two stages early in 2007.
