HIGHER EDUCATION
UW-Madison's Business School produces some of the nation's best fund managers, according to the latest issue of Smart Money Magazine.
The magazine's January issue refers to the university as "Fund Manager U" and says its nationally obscure Applied Security Analysis Program "has been turning out top-flight mutual fund managers for 36 years."
Bill Nygren of Oakmark and Stephen Petersen of Fidelity are among the Wisconsin-produced fund managers cited by the magazine.
