Dec. 13--The customer leans across the glass counter, shaking her head.
"I'm so sorry you're closing," she says. "All those years."
Those are the kinds of words that Veena and Kris Balani are hearing over and over again lately at Touch of Class, their small collectibles shop in the Altamonte Mall.
The Balanis were newlyweds when they opened the shop 28 years ago. Now they are retiring and will shut the store's doors as soon as they sell off their inventory of Lladro, Swarovski, Hummel and other collectible figurines.
"My son was in a playpen in the store his first six months. Customers remember that," ...
