EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., July 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Cambrex Corporation (AMEX: CBM) today reported an increase of 39% in net income over last year. Net income was $3.4 million for the quarter ended June 30, 1994, versus $2.4 million a year ago. For the six-month period, net income was $5.5 million compared with $4.2 in the first half of 1993.
On a per share basis (fully diluted), the Company's net income was 60 cents per share compared with 45 cents for the second quarter of 1993. The net income for the first six months of 1994 equaled 98 cents per share compared with 79 cents for the first half of 1993.
