The pest control industry saw several mid-to-large company acquisitions recently, including:

* A-Active Termite & Pest Control of Virginia Beach, Va., acquired Edwards Termite & Pest Control, located in in Newport News, Va. Edwards Termite & Pest Control is one of the largest termite and pest control service providers in its market and has been in business since 1921. "There are very strong synergies with these two companies," said A-Active President Kevin Kordek. "Our similar cultures regarding top-quality customer service will make this acquisition a win-win for both companies and their customers."
