CHICAGO (FNS) -- Licensed team apparel remains much more popular with sporting goods retailers and their customers than brand logos, according to buyers at the National Sporting Goods Association show here.
And unlike their general merchandise counterparts, the specialty store retailers had little interest in other types of licensed apparel, such as the Looney Tunes lines.
Retailers queried at the show, which was held here at McCormick Place and ended Tuesday, almost unanimously named team T-shirts and hats as their strongest lines and were looking to add to those assortments.
