Dec. 12--QUEENSBURY -- Michelle Granger's son was intrigued by the colorful waterslide tubes he could see snaking down the outside of White Water Bay, the Great Escape Lodge's indoor water park. But he didn't get a chance to go inside until the hotel started to offer $30 day passes.
Until mid-November, only overnight hotel guests could use the park, which had put off some local families.
"Financially, it doesn't make sense to bring your family here to stay when you're a half-hour away," said Granger, who lives in Greenfield Center.
