Dec. 14--LIMA -- The effort to fill a vacancy on the Veterans Memorial Civic Center board continues.
Almost two months after the three slots on the 11-member board came open, Allen County commissioners are still struggling to fill a final spot.
"We've talked to some good candidates, but they don't all fit with what we need. It's a tough fit," said Commissioner Dan Reiff.
The task is complicated by the fact that the Civic Center is one of two Ohio veterans centers. The Ohio Revised Code stipulates that the 11-member board must include at least seven honorably discharged wartime veterans. It also requires that no more ...
