Dec. 15--Jim Chen, a University of Minnesota law school leader and one of its academic stars, will leave the university to become law school dean at the University of Louisville.
A nationally recognized legal scholar and one of the university's highest-profile law professors, praise for Chen and applause for his new position was tempered Thursday with concern over the law school's long-term future.
