Dec. 16--HARDIN COUNTY -- A 19-year-old Belle Center man was killed in a crash with a tractor-trailer Friday.
Robert H. Rittenhouse, 19, was driving east on state Route 309 near township Road 105 when he crossed the center line. Rittenhouse's car collided with a tractortrailer traveling west on state Route 309, the Findlay post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported.
The tractor-trailer was driven by Raymond Schmerge, 51, of Botkins. Schmerge was taken to Lima Memorial Health System where he was in good condition, the patrol and a hospital nursing supervisor said.
