Dec. 16--This month holds a reputation for miracles. Roz Mullen could speak to that. Two weeks ago, in the heart of Orlando, she formed a snowball and watched it roll into an avalanche. It formed after a chat with her daughter, an Air Force colonel stationed in Qatar. Most of the troops stationed there won't be home for Christmas. A notion struck her: If her daughter could line up soldiers' names, Mullen would encourage children she tutors at Outreach Love, an Orlando mentoring program for at-risk kids, to craft Christmas cards to cheer the troops.
