Dec. 16--Leon Scott, 75, can be found nearly every day fishing in the Choctawhatchee Bay next to Bill Ming's Bait Shop on Calhoun Avenue. This favorite spot of his is less than one mile from his house on Sibert Avenue, a distance close enough for him to hop on his golf cart and be there within minutes.

"I have to come check on my friends Bill and Dewey (Destin) down here," Scott said. "I can throw all my fishing stuff in the back of my golf cart and go."
