LIME ROCK, Conn., July 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The New World Power Corporation (Nasdaq-NNM: NWPC) announced today that The New World Village Power Company, a wholly owned subsidiary, has signed an agreement with the Fort Albany First Nation to form a joint venture to build, own and operate an approximate 2 megawatt wind/diesel hybrid power station.  The generating plant will provide base load energy to the city of Fort Albany, Ontario, under terms of a power purchase contract that the joint venture expects to negotiate with Ontario Hydro, the provincial utility.
