Dec. 17--Police officers tiptoe through a minefield of dangers each and every day. Drug busts. Domestic disputes ... And now we know that even a seemingly innocent off-duty stop for coffee can be grounds for a cop to whip out his weapon. At least that's the way Joseph Mastel tells it. Cuppa Joe was once a Spokane County sheriff's detective. Then came that career-ending day last June when he exposed himself to a barista babe at the On Alert espresso stand in Airway Heights.
