Malaysian state ruled by hardline Islamic party okays discos
Kuala Lumpur, Dec 17 (PTI) The lone Malaysian state ruled by a hardline Islamic party has given the green signal for opening discos or nightclubs provided no alcohol is served and men and women are separated.
Chief Minister of Kelantan state, Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat said the nightclubs can operate as long as they follow Islamic rules as stipulated by his Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS).
"I do not see any reason to forbid them," he was quoted as saying by New Striats Times.
