Alessandro Dell'Acqua's preshow tension mounts further when he gets blank stares from the hairstylists and makeup artists as he briefs them on the models' look for the runway show.
"Imagine me telling a crop of American hairstylists that I want the models to resemble Anna Magnani in Mamma Roma or Monica Vitti in Eclipse. They think I'm crazy," chuckles Dell'Acqua, whose collections are regularly infused with cinematic references.
