OLDWICK, N.J. -- A.M. Best Co. has affirmed the financial strength rating of A- (Excellent) of Afianzadora Insurgentes, SA de C.V. (AISA) (Mexico City, Mexico). The rating outlook is stable.
The rating reflects AISA's solid risk-adjusted capitalization, improving underlying book of business and its significant market share of Mexican surety business. The rating also recognizes the value added to AISA as a subsidiary of The St. Paul Travelers Companies, Inc.
