Dec. 18--Hipster parents are cool with first names, sometimes with a Mr. or Miss in front. The traditionalists go for Mr. and Mrs. followed by a last name, the strictest also requiring Sir and Ma'am.

But in an age of decreasing formality and changing etiquette, are courtesy titles for adults becoming passe? "I think the days of Mr. and Mrs. are probably gone," said Janet Dundee, co-owner of Sweet Tooth Candy & Gift Co., 3747 S.
