Environmental conservation officers traditionally known as game wardens won't exactly be lying in wait for hunters when New York's deer season opens in the Southern Zone tomorrow, but they won't be relaxing their surveillance, either.
This annual invasion of redcoats always includes more than its share of bad guys who, for some strange reason, think they have the system wired. But the conservation officers are prepared to handle anything that comes their way.
