Flomatic Corp., a Hoosick manufacturer of municipal and industrial valves, has applied for $236,000 from state and Rensselaer County economic development agencies to buy new equipment.
The company, which reported $4 million in sales last year, has requested a $131,000 loan from the Renseelaer County Job Training Program and a $105,000 from the state Job Development Authority. Flomatic will contribute $26,290 to the project.
Flomatic employs 30 workers and intend to hire an additional 14 during the next three years, the company's president and chairman, Allan Bo Andersson, said.
