The president and chief executive officer of Key Bank has been appointed to the Albany Municipal Water Finance Authority, but he and city officials say they see no conflict between the post and the water operation's financial dealings with KeyCorp subsidiaries.
James K. Patrick, president and CEO of Key Bank since 1984, said he consulted with the bank's attorneys before taking the post and feels there is no conflict in the appointment. "I will certainly make whatever statements would be necessary to see to that," Patrick said Wednesday.
