A Colonie motorcyclist was killed Sunday on Route 7 when he crashed into a guardrail as he apparently attempted to avoid a car, State Police report.
He was identified as Michael Izenberg, 27, of 15 Alfred Drive.
According to a report filed by Trooper Gloria Coppola of the Brunswick State Police substation, a car driven by Bernadette Steen, 26, was stopped on Route 7 waiting to turn onto Rensselaer County Route 115 when Izenberg's cycle approached the car from the rear. The cyclist apparently lost control, and his vehicle hit a guardrail. Izenberg was killed immediately.
