Dec. 18--It may not feel a lot like Christmas, but this year's balmy yuletide is still putting New Yorkers in a shopping mood.
"The weather is making me get out of the house more, for sure," said Aly Hoeffer, 27, a jewelry designer from Hell's Kitchen shopping at Bloomingdale's yesterday. "Otherwise, I'd be home on the computer."
The sunny skies and near-record high temperature drew Eric Iparra, 25, and his wife and daughter from Passaic, N.J., to Herald Square.
"If it was freezing or snowing, I wouldn't bring my family out like this," Iparra said. "But in the warm weather, we can all come out and have fun."
