Voter registration for Ballston Spa Central School District residents will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday
in the office of the school superintendent, adjacent to the Malta Avenue School.
Residents must be registered to vote May 17 on the school district's $23.9 million 1988-89 budget and to elect two school board members. The 1988-89 budget was $21.5 million.
When school board members approved the proposed budget, they said they expected a tax-rate increase of 1 percent for 1989-90. However, a subsequent increase in the level of state aid caused school officials to revise their estimates and predict that the tax rate would increase less ...
