Home & City Savings Bank management may yet propose the formation of a savings bank holding company, despite abandoning such a plan in the face of shareholder objections last January, according John J. Brunner, president and chief executive officer.
Forming the holding company depends on "the outcome of the federal legislation pertaining to the FSLIC bailout" and a determination how the bank might "take advantage of the many banking opportunities available to the institution - given the bank's ownership and the legislative climate at the time," Brunner said at the annual meeting of shareholders.
