FBI agents are teaming up with city police in the probe of the weekend theft of three precious art objects from the Albany Institute of History and Art, a crime one investigator believes was a "professional job."
Wayne Alford, agent in charge of the Albany FBI office, confirmed Monday that a team of agents visited the Washington Avenue museum Sunday and began assisting city police.
"We call it a major thefts case," Alford said. "If it's over $50,000 (in value) we do get involved in it. We're dealing with some very expensive items."
