Arthur J. Shawcross said under hypnosis that he saw bright lights and felt a strange stillness when killed his victims.
Jurors watched a videotape Friday of Shawcross describing graphic details of killings to a psychiatrist. The tape, made June 20, is from one of five sessions during which he was hypnotized and questioned about his past.
Shawcross, 45, is on trial for killing 10 women in the Rochester area. While under hypnosis, Shawcross has appeared to take on five different personalities - including himself as a child, his mother, his sister and a man who said he was his friend.
