It has been a long and winding road, but the legal dispute between Apple Computer Inc. and the Beatles rock group finally has reached a London courtroom.
At a trial that began Monday, the court considered who has the right to use "Apple" as a trademark - the computer company or the musicians - and how it may be used.
The outcome of the case could put an end to years of litigation between the parties in dozens of countries around the world or trigger a new round of international legal confrontation.
