When pneumonia strikes, it hits hard. Fever. Shortness of breath. Difficulty breathing. A racking cough. Chest pain. Chills. Although popularly considered an illness that primarily attacks the elderly or those with compromised immune systems, pneumonia does occur in normally healthy people. And it's not uncommon; about 3 million people a year will develop it.
