WASHINGTON -- A group that includes Metallgesellschaft Corp. (MG) said it plans to modify substantially or end its relationship with Castle Energy Corp.
In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), MG said it has been reevaluating its relationship with Castle as a lender, customer and stockholder, and has determined that the relationship is not in its best interest.
The MG group said it is "seeking a global settlement of all outstanding issues" with Castle in order to resolve matters "amicably and without litigation."
