A funny thing happened to Stephanie Bender last year in Long Beach, Calif.
She was invited to speak before a group of 30 physicians, mostly gynecologists and obstetricians, who were meeting there to discuss advances in women's health care.
When the speaker called Bender to the podium, he politely introduced her: "This is Stephanie Bender from Boulder, Colo., director of PMS Clinic."
So far, so good.
Then, with a smile, he added: "By the way Stephanie, do you know the difference between a PMS woman and an Iranian terrorist?"
