SEOUL, South Korea _ Now that North Korea has a new leader, analysts here are predicting that the world's most closed society will soon open its doors to the outside _ either voluntarily or because the government collapses.
And many North-watchers believe that the death this month of Kim Il Sung may pave the way for reunification of the Korean peninsula.
``The prospects for unification are much brighter with the death of Kim Il Sung,'' said Hwang Eui-Gak, professor of economics at Korea University. ``This is a big chance for the Korean people, north and south.''
