EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Circulation figures continue to decline at most L.A. County newspapers, with more people getting their news from the Internet, television and other media.
Weekday circulation at the 15 largest papers fell 5.6 percent to 1.6 million, for the circulation period ended Sept. 30, compared with the like period last year.
The Los Angeles Times, which is owned by Chicago-based Tribune Co., accounted for nearly half of the lost readers. It's daily circulation declined by 8 percent to 776,000 while Sunday circulation fell 6 percent to 1.2 million.
