WASHINGTON - The World Bank's Board of Executive Directors today approved a US$50 million loan for Brazil to enhance the impact of the Federal Water Resources Management Project - PROGUA, in the country's drought-prone Northeast Region. The new project builds on the successful implementation of a previous US$198 million World Bank loan approved in 1998.
