A bit of garlic a day might keep more than vampires away.
That pungent, bulbous relative of the lily might also help keep illnesses ranging from cancer to heart attacks at bay. To sort the science from the folklore, researchers from around the world met in Washington last week for the First World Congress on the Health Significance of Garlic and Garlic Constituents.
