The State Police officially put their mark on the town Thursday.
Dedication ceremonies were held to mark the recent opening of the new Zone 2 State Police headquarters on Ballard Road. About 40 people attended the event, including State Police Superintendent Thomas Constantine and Troop G Commander Maj. Wayne Bennett.
Town Supervisor Roy McDonald presided over the festivities.
"This is a unique partnership between the State Police and the local community ... a partnership we are happy to forge," McDonald said afterwards.
