A group of businessmen and women are trying to start a Better Business Bureau in the Capital District that they say would benefit both consumers and the business community.
The effort, led by Merilee Marsh of the Marsh & Donohue advertising agency in Schenectady, was welcomed Monday by the state attorney general's office.
But leaders from the three prominent chambers of commerce in the region favor a Better Business Bureau only if it does not interfere with their missions.
