Throughout the Capital District, political leaders and foot soldiers with high-level state jobs have been forced to give up their party posts because of a new ethics regulation. In a state administration dominated by Democrats, the impact of the ethics code that took effect this spring has been felt in local Democratic parties from Troy west to Duanesburg and Albany north to Clifton Park.
