Sixteen years after leaving the White House in disgrace, former President Nixon was welcomed home a hero Thursday in a celebration that brought four U.S. presidents together.
The controversial former president returned in triumph to his birthplace to dedicate the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace, a $21 million research center for scholars and visitors that many regard as a centerpiece of Nixon's public rehabilitation.
