A bridge that was once part of a plan to link the Taconic State Parkway to the Green Mountain State is set to come down.
"We hope to blast it by fall or next winter," foreman Ron Segarra said Tuesday, as crews from Mechanicville contractors D.A. Collins continued a project realigning the parkway's northernmost point at the entrance to the New York State Thruway.
The work, which began about a month ago, involves moving a sharply curving northbound lane about 300 feet to parallel the southbound lane at the Berkshire Spur (B-2) exit.
