They're creatures of the comics sprung to life in highly stylized, budget-busting films.
They're square-jawed crimestoppers whose archnemeses are played by famous Hollywood actors wearing funny makeup.
Both come equipped with a quasi- soundtrack album by one of pop music's reigning superstars, and both are tied to a marketing and merchandising blitz replete with fast-food tie-ins, toys, T-shirts, backpacks and gimcracks.
But, never mind all that.
The truly eerie parallel between last year's mega-blockbuster "Batman" and this year's "Batman" wannabe, "Dick Tracy," is ... Sean Young.
