W hen it was built midway during the Depression as part of a national public works movement, the Little Theater at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center took its place among the better summer theaters in the country.

The 500-seat theater with its raked mezzanine seating, features a Grecian portico with a veranda and lobby which permitted summer theatergoers to enjoy the evening breezes from the neighboring pines of the Saratoga State Park.

During its 54 years of existence, some of the leading names in theater appeared on its stage either as established stars or as young performers polishing their craft.
