Richard Greenberg's comedy "Eastern Standard" will be the final production of the season at the State University at Albany, opening Friday for a two-weekend run.
"We had the two classics 'Oedipus' and 'Tartuffe,' along with the drama ''Night Mother' so far this season, so this show about contemporary yuppies in New York is a change of pace," said director and department chairman Langdon Brown.
Brown acknowledges that the play also helps to give his student actors a chance to play roles closer to their ages and backgrounds. "It's more accessible to our cast and student audiences," he says.
