Roman Catholics from throughout the Albany Diocese united in one church Sunday to hear a Latin mass performed with the approval of the bishop, who also cautioned communicants not to use the mass for "schismatic tendencies."
A retired Albany priest Sunday said a Latin mass at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for hundreds of Catholics, ending a 25-year break from masses as they were said before Vatican II reforms.
