When Linton High girls basketball standout Karly Heiner gets a headache, teammate Jennifer Nowak takes aspirin.
They're close.
"We've been friends a long time," Heiner says. "We've grown up together and played basketball together since we were both in eighth grade at Oneida (Junior High)."
"We're kind of in different social groups now," Nowak adds. "But ... we're still close."
The girls are certainly close when it comes to basketball. They are the most potent 1-2 scoring punch in Big10 basketball and a main reason Linton was 18-2 during the regular season.
