Article: POWER AUTHORITY APPROVES ALLOCATIONS FOR 13 COMPANIES AROUND THE STATE

 
LEWISTON, N.Y., July 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Thirteen New York State companies would create or maintain more than 5,700 jobs in return for economical New York Power Authority electricity, S. David Freeman, Power Authority president and chief executive officer, said Tuesday. 
Power Authority trustees, meeting here at the Niagara Power Project, approved allocations from the James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant on Lake Ontario near Oswego for: 
-- Burton Industries in Wyandanch, Suffolk County; 300 kilowatts 
   (kw); 20 new jobs. 
-- Ciba Corp., Tarrytown, Westchester County; 4,000 kw; 800 existing 
   jobs.
