The end of the Kevin Williams experiment guarantees that some of the other members of the Albany Patroons will get a chance to shoot the basketball this season.
The Patroons traded Williams to the Yakima Sun Kings over the weekend for the CBA rights to center Dave Hoppen (currently with the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers) and a 1992 draft pick.
Albany coach Charley Rosen had hoped Williams could make the transition from CBA scoring machine (26.7 scoring average with Tulsa last year) to a player who could run his offense and distribute the ball to his teammates.
