Contemplate this: Well-heeled skiers at Idaho's Silver Mountain can pay $30 a ride in a posh VIP gondola car, which includes a bar, leather bucket seats, heat and a stereo system. The fee also includes a cut to the front of the lift line.

Do you really want to see the mountains polluted with this type of mogul fiend? Of course you don't. There has to be room for folks who drive beat-up VWs to slopes to ski ...
