Four days before the opening of training camp, the New York Knicks still have three point guards. And that is one too many, according to Coach Pat Riley.
The playmaker position has been overloaded since June, when the Knicks drafted Greg Anthony of UNLV in the first round. Mark Jackson and Maurice Cheeks already were in place. On the night of the draft, Riley said having three capable players at one position is a strength.
